How To Enable Two-Factor Authentication

How To Enable Two-Factor Authentication

Last Updated On 2024-06-24

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a common, extra layer of security you can use to secure your Atarim account. Enabling two-factor authentication means that Atarim will ask for an additional code, in addition to your email and password, when signing in to your account.

This one-time passcode will be delivered via email.

Here’s how to enable and disable two-factor authentication on your account:

Enabling Two-Factor Authentication

To access your 2FA settings, navigate to your Atarim dashboard.

From there, head to your People page in your dashboard:

From here, locate your user account:

Then navigate to the Two-Factor Authentication option for your account:

To enable 2FA, simply click Turn on two-factor authentication and you will be prompted to confirm that you wish to enable 2FA by entering a code delivered to your account’s email.

The email address will look like this:

Simply copy that code and enter it to confirm you wish to enable two-factor authentication on your account. Once you’ve successfully enabled 2FA, you’ll see this:

And you’re all set! Your account is now secured by an additional layer of security. Every time you log in, Atarim will send over an email (similar to the one you received when enabling 2FA shown above) to confirm that it is in fact you attempting to access your Atarim account.

Disabling Two-Factor Authentication

Disabling 2FA is done from this same settings area, once enabled, you will see the option to Turn off two-factor authentication as shown below:

If you wish to disable 2FA (not recommended), simply click that option and you will once again be prompted to enter a one-time passcode delivered via email to confirm that you wish to disable two-factor authentication.

Simply enter the code, and click Verify to proceed and your account will no longer require you to enter an additional one-time passcode when signing in.
