Internal Tasks

Last Updated On 2024-03-22

Note: Only available on the Atarim Starter, Pro, and Business Plans.

You can create internal tasks from both the front-end or back-end of your client’s website and your Dashboard (by creating a general task in the Inbox or Boards section).

Internal Tasks can only be seen by users that are set as Webmaster inside their WordPress profile on the website. This is to give you the ability to create tasks that do not concern your clients for you and your team, (secret collaboration 🤫).

WordPress Front-End And Back-End Tasks

When creating a task on the front-end, you can click on the internal task icon instead of clicking on add comment.

This will create the task as internal, meaning any WordPress user that is not a “Webmaster” will not be able to see it.

If you’d like to change a task from internal, you can simply click the icon again. This will make the task visible to every user.

WordPress Task Center

Internal tasks are marked by the icon inside the task center of the WordPress website.

You can switch internal tasks to normal tasks (and vice versa), by clicking on the icon next to “Send Message”.

By doing so, this will make the tasks visible to all users.

Dashboard

To create an internal task inside your Dashboard, we need to head over to the inbox. Once there, click on the plus icon on the website where you’d like to create a task.

To make this a general task from the get-go, instead of clicking comment, click on the internal tasks icon.

And boom, we’re in business. Remember, your clients will not be able to see this tasks, making it super useful for you to collaborate on work that your client’s don’t need to see with your team.

The exact same functionality can be found on the boards screen on the task pop-over too.
