Atarim’s project management system empowers teams to set up and customize projects seamlessly, enabling them to align with specific workflows. Whether it’s assigning team members, managing permissions, tailoring project settings, or organizing projects into folders for better categorization, Atarim ensures maximum control and efficiency. Step-by-Step Guide

1. Create a new Project

Set up your first project using Atarim’s flexible creation methods.

Instructions:

  • Log in to your Atarim account.
  • Click the Projects tab if not on that page.
  • Choose your project creation method:
    • URL-Based Collaboration: Add a website URL to create a collaborative space for feedback and task management. Ideal for teams working on live or published websites that need real-time reviews.
    • Chrome Extension: Collaborate directly on live sites by using the Atarim Chrome Extension. Best for password-protected sites or those under maintenance that are not accessible to visitors, ensuring secure and efficient collaboration.
    • WordPress Plugin: Connect sites through Atarim’s plugin to enable seamless integration with the WordPress dashboard. Best for developers and agencies managing WordPress-based projects.
    • Image-Based Collaboration: Upload design files, such as mockups or screenshots, to gather visual feedback. Ideal for designers and stakeholders working on branding, UI/UX, or static visuals.

Tip: Opt for URL-based collaboration for quick project initiation and easy sharing with stakeholders.

2. Assigning Team Members

Invite and assign team members to ensure project alignment.

Instructions:

  • From the People Page:
    • Click People in the project settings.
    • Invite members via email and assign roles (e.g., Administrator, Collaborator).
  • From the Project Page:
    • Open the Share Project modal.
    • Enter email addresses and set roles.
  • Assign team members to specific projects
    • On the project page, click on the project settings to assign team members
    • Click on the team member name to select them for that project.

Tip: Assign roles based on responsibilities to ensure the right permissions for each member. Use Administrator for those overseeing the project and Contributor for those involved in task execution.

3. Changing Project Settings

Tailor project details to align with team and client needs.

Instructions:

  1. Hover over the project you want to modify and click on the three vertical dots (project settings icon) to open the project settings.
  2. You can update the following settings:
    • Project Name: Edit or update the project name as needed.
    • Add This Project to a Folder: Use the dropdown to assign the project to a specific folder for better organization.
    • Refresh Thumbnail Image: Click this button to capture a new screenshot of the home page, which will be displayed on the project block in your dashboard.
  3. Additional settings include toggles for:
    • Enable Collaboration on This Project: Toggle this option to enable or disable collaboration on the project. Disabling it will prevent new requests and comments from being added, allowing you to focus on existing ones.
    • Enable Global Settings: Enable this toggle to manage the project using the Global Settings from the Agency Dashboard. This will apply your General Settings, Branding, and Notification options globally.
  4. If Global Settings is not enabled, you can customize the following for the specific project:
    • White Label Settings: Customize the branding for this particular project, including logos and color schemes.

Tip: Regularly review and adjust project settings to match ongoing project goals or changes in your team structure.

4. Organizing Projects with Folders

Use folders to maintain a well-organized workspace and streamline project management.

Instructions:

  • To create a folder, drag one project over another and select Create Folder.
  • Assign team members to a folder to grant them access to all projects within it.
  • Move projects between folders by dragging them as needed.

Tip: Use folders to group projects by client, department, or type for easy navigation.

5. Deleting or Archiving a Project

Manage completed or unnecessary projects efficiently.

Instructions:

  1. Hover over the project you want to archive and click on the three vertical dots (project settings icon).
  2. Archiving a Project:
    • Click on Archive Project to move the project to the archive section.
    • OR bulk select projects and click ‘Archive button on the top bar
    • Archived projects can be accessed from the Archived Projects section within the dashboard.
    • Note: Archiving a project is ideal when the project is completed, and you no longer need to actively manage it, but still want to retain all data for reference or future use.
  3. Deleting a Project:
    • Click on Delete Project.
    • A confirmation prompt will appear—click Delete to permanently remove the project and all associated data from your account.
    • Warning: Deleting a project is permanent and cannot be undone. Make sure to archive the project if you may need access to it later.
