Configure Your Atarim Notifications

Stay informed with the right notifications while keeping email clutter under control.

Atarim sends email notifications to keep you updated on important activities and project changes. While these notifications help you track progress, you may find that the frequency needs adjustment based on your workflow.

Atarim makes it easy to customize your notification preferences globally for all projects or individually for each website in your dashboard.

This guide will walk you through configuring Atarim’s notification settings to suit your needs.

Prerequisites

Basic understanding of email notification settings.
  • Familiarity with Atarim’s dashboard navigation.
  • Access to an Atarim account with admin or user permissions.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Configure Global Notification Settings

Global notifications apply to your entire Atarim workspace, ensuring you receive updates across all projects.

Step 1: Access Notification Settings

  1. Log in to your Atarim dashboard.
  2. Click Settings from the left-hand menu.
  3. Select Email & Notifications.

Step 2: Open Notification Settings

  1. Inside the Email & Notifications tab, click Notification Settings.
  2. Here, you’ll find all global notification preferences.

Step 3: Customize Notification Preferences

Atarim allows you to enable or disable specific email notifications:

🔹 New Task Notifications – Receive an email every time a new task is created.
🔹 New Comment Notifications – Get notified when a comment is added to a task.
🔹 Task Completion Alerts – Be informed when a task is marked as complete.
🔹 Status Change Notifications – Track updates as tasks move through different statuses (e.g., “In Progress,” “Pending Review”).
🔹 24-Hour Summary Report – Get a daily email summarizing recent activity.
🔹 7-Day Summary Report – Receive a weekly email overview of all project updates.

Step 4: Save Changes

Once you’ve customized your preferences, click Save Changes at the top of the page to apply them.

Tip: If you manage multiple projects, disable non-essential notifications to avoid inbox overload.

2. Configure Local Notification Settings (Per Website)

Local notifications allow you to receive updates specific to individual websites by configuring them within the Atarim WordPress plugin.

Step 1: Install the Atarim WordPress Plugin

  1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
  2. Go to Plugins > Add New and search for Atarim.
  3. Click Install Now, then Activate the plugin.

Step 2: Switch to Local Notifications

  1. Go to Atarim plugin settings in your WordPress dashboard.
  2. Locate the Notification Settings tab.
  3. Toggle from Dashboard (Global) to Local Notifications.

Step 3: Configure Local Notification Preferences

Atarim allows WordPress admins to manage notifications per website:

✅ New Task Alerts – Email notifications for every new task.
✅ New Comments – Get alerts when a new comment is added.
✅ Task Completion – Receive an email when a task is marked as complete.
✅ Status Change Updates – Notifications for task status changes.
✅ Daily & Weekly Reports – Automatically receive summary emails.

Recommendation: If your team collaborates heavily on a single site, local notifications help ensure that only the right people receive relevant updates.

Step 4: Add Additional Email Recipients

If multiple team members need notifications, you can add their email addresses under Additional Recipients, separating them with commas.

Tip: Use this feature to keep stakeholders informed without giving them full dashboard access.

Step 5: Save Changes

Click Save Changes to update local notification settings.

Recommendation: If stakeholders need updates but don’t require full dashboard access, enable weekly summary reports instead of real-time notifications to prevent unnecessary emails.

3. Customize Notification Preferences

In the Notification Settings section, you can configure different types of notifications to control which emails you receive.
