Configure Your Atarim Notifications

Last Updated On 2024-07-12

Atarim can send you email notifications to help keep you informed about various activities and updates. While these notifications are helpful in tracking your projects, you may decide that the number of notifications becomes too high, given certain configurations, workflows, and integrations.

It is very easy to customize the frequency and type of email notifications you receive from Atarim. You can either choose global settings that cover all email notifications, or customize your notifications individually for each website in your Atarim dashboard.

This documentation outlines the available notification settings, and how you can configure them.

Configure Global Notification Settings

Step 1: Navigate to Settings

Log in to your Atarim dashboard and locate the main menu on the left side of the dashboard.

Click on the Settings option to access the settings menu.

Step 2: Access Email & Notifications

In the Settings menu, find and select the Email & Notifications option.

This will take you to the section where you can manage all email and notification-related settings.

Step 3: Open Notification Settings

Within the Email & Notifications section, click on the Notification Settings tab on the left.

This is where you will find the global notification settings that can be customized for your account.

Step 4: Customize Notification Preferences

In the Notification Settings section, you will see various options for different types of notifications. These include notifications for:

  • New tasks
  • New comments
  • Task completions
  • Status changes
  • Periodic reports

You can configure each of these notification categories to ensure you receive emails for only those triggers which will be most helpful to you.

  1. Send Email Notification for Every New Task: This setting allows users to receive an email notification every time a new task is created. This is useful for keeping track of new assignments and ensuring that tasks are promptly addressed.
  2. Send Email Notification for Every New Comment: This setting ensures that users receive an email notification whenever a new comment is added to a task. This helps maintain effective communication and keeps everyone updated on task progress and discussions.
  3. Send Email Notification When a Task is Marked as Complete: With this setting, users will receive an email notification when a task is marked as complete. This feature helps users stay informed about task completions and project progress.
  4. Send Email Notification for Every Status Change: Users can receive email notifications for every status change of a task. This includes changes such as “In Progress,” “Review,” or any other custom status. Keeping track of status changes helps users stay updated on the task lifecycle.
  5. Send Email Notification for Last 24 Hours Report: This setting allows users to receive a summary email notification of all activities and updates from the last 24 hours. This report provides a concise overview of recent tasks, comments, and status changes.
  6. Send Email Notification for Last 7 Days Report: With this setting, users will receive a summary email notification of all activities and updates from the last 7 days. This weekly report provides a comprehensive overview of the past week’s activities, helping users keep track of long-term progress.

Step 5: Save Changes

After configuring your preferred notification settings, make sure you save any changes you have made. Click on the Save Changes button at the top of the page to ensure your preferences are updated.

Local Notification Settings

If you want to set individual preferences for each site in your Atarim dashboard, then you can do that as well. To do this on a WordPress website, you first need to install the Atarim WordPress plugin.

After installing the plugin, go to the Atarim plugin settings tab in your WordPress dashboard, and toggle the switch from Dashboard to Local (see screenshot below).

This will allow you to edit the notification settings for your website from the WordPress dashboard.

Local notification settings within the Atarim settings tab allow administrators to manage email notifications for each WordPress website.

Let’s take a look at how to configure local notification settings, add additional email recipients, and customize notification preferences.

Additional Email Recipients

This setting allows administrators to send email notifications to additional addresses besides the primary user’s email address. This is useful for including either team members, or stakeholders who need to stay informed.

To send emails to multiple email addresses, just enter the email addresses separated by commas. For example: user@example.com, user2@example.com

Customizable Email Notifications

WordPress administrators can enable or disable specific notification for Atarim directly from the WordPress dashboard.

Atarim provides an option to configure the following email notification settings:

  1. Send Email Notification for Every New Task: When this option is enabled, users receive an email notification whenever a new task is created. This helps users stay updated on new assignments.
  2. Send Email Notification for Every New Comment: Users receive an email notification when a new comment is added to a task. This ensures users are informed about task discussions and updates.
  3. Send Email Notification When a Task is Marked as Complete: This setting sends an email notification when a task is marked as complete, which helps users keep track of task progress and completions.
  4. Send Email Notification for Every Status Change: You can enable this option to receive an email notification for every status change of a task. This keeps users informed about the task lifecycle and updates.
  5. Send Email Notification for Last 24 Hours Report: When this option is enabled, users receive a summary email notification of all activities and updates from the last 24 hours, which includes a concise overview of recent tasks, comments, and status changes.
  6. Send Email Notification for Last 7 Days Report: You can use this option to receive a summary email notification of all activities and updates from the last 7 days.
  7. Auto Send Email Notification for Daily Report: Enable this to automatically receive a daily summary report of activities and updates.
  8. Auto Send Email Notification for Weekly Report: When this option is enabled, users automatically receive a weekly summary report of activities and updates which provides a comprehensive overview of the week’s progress.
