Columns write back. Assign a status, a priority or a page approval to a column and dropping a card into it changes the real thing. No column assignment means a pure staging bucket, and the same task can sit in different columns on different boards. Boards are allowed to disagree.
Every move has its own undo, restoring the values it changed, not just the position. Placements sync live across the team, and everyone picks their own default board.
