Is it safe to let AI edit a live WordPress site?

Being careful is the right instinct.

You built your name one client at a time. When a change goes wrong on a live site, it is your phone that rings, not the tool's. So when an AI offers to edit a client's site from a single chat window, with no task, no trail and no way back, saying no is good judgment.

The question was never whether AI can make the change. It is whether you can see it, approve it and undo it, the way you would with anyone on your team.

Four ways back on every change.

Every change Atarim makes on a live site can be undone, at four levels:

1. Element

Every button, heading or block we change keeps its original. One click puts it back.

Put it back

2. Page

Pages are held in version control, so any page can be rolled back. Native WordPress revisions are kept too, on every builder that stores them.

Roll back the page

3. Plugin

Before an update, we take a copy of the version that was working, so any plugin can go back to what was running before.

Restore the plugin

4. Site

Before anything big, we take a full backup through our partner JetBackup. It can be restored even after a fatal error, while the backup is fresh.

Restore the site

You decide what runs on its own.

You would not hire someone and then check every single thing they do. You tell them what they can handle alone and what to bring to you first. Atarim works the same way.

Keep it tight on the work you care most about and loose on the rest, and change it whenever you like. One agency owner put it like this: they are good at SEO, so writing comes to them first, but a blog post a week can go ahead.

When we reach the edge of what we should do alone, the work comes to your team instead of stopping. Nothing reaches a client without your okay.

Every change leaves a trail.

Each piece of work is a task you can see, question and change. You can see who asked for it, what changed, when it went live and how to put it back. Through the Atarim MCP, changes that carry risk wait for a person to approve them, with a backup taken first.

A chat window forgets. A task list does not.

Built for the sites you already run.

Atarim makes changes on live WordPress sites built with Gutenberg, Elementor, Beaver Builder, SiteOrigin and Bricks, and on Duda sites. It works through WP-CLI, takes restore points and runs vulnerability scans.

Questions agencies ask.

Is it safe to let AI edit a live WordPress site?

It is when every change has a way back and you control what runs on its own. Atarim keeps four ways back on every change, at element, page, plugin and site level, and nothing reaches a client without your okay.

What happens if a change breaks something?

You put it back. A single element goes back in one click, a page rolls back from version control or its WordPress revisions, a plugin returns to the version that was running before, and the whole site can be restored from the backup taken first.

Will Atarim change a client site without asking me?

Only the work you have said can run on its own. You set that per type of work and can change it any time. Everything else waits for you.

Does it work with Elementor?

Yes. Elementor does not keep native WordPress revisions, so that one layer is not available there. Element undo, page version control and the full site backup all still work.

Do you use my clients' data to train AI?

No. We do not use customer data to train models.

Do my clients need to do anything?

No. Your clients do not log in, install anything or change how they work. Everything happens under your brand.

Your best work, on every client site.

The backup before the update. The check before the client asks. That has always been the work of a whole agency, and it is why one person could never do it for every client. Atarim is that agency, plugged into yours, with a way back on every change.
